Malta Blockchain, the largest international industrial summit, received over 5000 delegates
Blockchain Island, that is the way Malta is called now, these days has once again attracted the attention of the founders and managers of startups, fintech companies, traders, brokers, private wealth managers, ICO members, manners, crypto currency investors and government representatives. From November 1-2, the Malta Blockchain 2018 Summit is being held in St. Julian’s, Malta.

The summit is an important event in the calendar associated with blockchain technology and distributed ledger technology (DLT). Among the speakers and guests of the summit are experts in the field of finance, technology and innovation, such as John McAfee, Mike Butcher, John Matonis and others. In addition, the blockchain-hackathon and a two-day ICO pitching were organized with the support of CryptoFriends. Aynur Aydeldinov, the CEO of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the summit program.

Every year the summit in Malta causes high interest in the business community and brings together more than 5,000 delegates on its site.

Recall that the government of Malta was one of the first to support the development of laws regulating work with crypto currency and blockchain technology. The legislative action passed through parliament this summer lured in Malta the leading companies of the industry. Top crypto currency exchanges, such as Binance and OKEx, have already been relocated to Malta.

The government has established a Special committee to consider proposals for implementation of the National Blockchain Strategy. In the coming months, they plan to invest in the blockchain laboratory under the Maltese Information Technology Agency, which will allow launching educational programs to familiarize government officials with the possibilities of using the technology. It is also planned to launch an Internet portal for communication of those interested in blockchain technologies and crypto currencies. It is planned to open the Blockchain Technology Center to assist and support start-up companies, which are eager to work with this technology.
