The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director, Vice President of American Gas & Technology Boris Shrayer, discussed cooperation issues today at the meeting in San Francisco.The American Gas & Technology (AG & T) was established for manufacturing and commissioning of a unique new product - small-sized automated gas liquefaction installations. The devices are capable of producing, storing and distributing liquefied natural gas (LNG), a new clean transportation fuel.
The company has been engaged in alternative power engineering for more than 30 years by investing in this area. As a result, AG & T today possesses the proved and tested technology.
Liquefied natural gas is a high-octane fuel, which significantly reduces emissions and greenhouse gases, alongside with reducing engine maintenance costs by 50%.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Tatarstan is implementing a program for the transfer of vehicles to gas engine fuel (“Development of the gas engine fuel market in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2013-2023”).
He said that today the republic is taking efforts for transfer to gas fuel of a whole segment of the vehicle fleet. In particular, it can be urban public transport, municipal and agricultural equipment, etc.
In addition, the parties considered the possibility of automated gas liquefaction devices manufacturing locating in Tatarstan.
These and other issues were discussed in San Francisco, where Rustam Minnikhanov was on a working visit. The CEO of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan Aynur Aydeldinov takes part in the work of the official delegation.
