The First Day of the 18th Russian Venture Forum Has Started

The first day of the 18th Russian Venture Forum started at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. This year, the event runs for two days – from April 25 to 26. More than 4 thousand representatives of startups, venture funds, government authorities, investors, business angels, students, and other participants are taking part in the event.

The main theme of the forum this year is: "Technological Entrepreneurship: A Space of Higher Competencies." Over two days, more than 20 events will take place at the venue, divided into several blocks: ecosystem, venture investments, technological entrepreneurship, and markets. Their number has doubled compared to the previous year.

The exhibition this year includes both startups and representatives of innovation infrastructure: universities, technoparks, industrial parks, special economic zones, and IT parks.

This year, the organizing committee of the Russian Venture Forum is chaired by Valery Falkov. The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony: "I am confident that the forum will serve as a convenient platform for exchanging advanced experience in commercializing breakthrough scientific and technical developments, implementing innovative projects in various sectors of the economy, and creating modern competitive goods and services."

Innovative solutions were presented by 50 projects from 15 regions of Russia. Over two days, startups will present their projects to the leading experts of the Russian venture market. 15 finalists will become participants in the acceleration program of IVF RT and ECI, and will compete for investments of up to 50 million rubles. As part of the accelerator, experts and mentors will work out a roadmap with the startups and prepare them for attracting the next round of investment.

Operating system "Atlant" – an OS built on the Debian distribution and the Linux kernel version 5.17.

Mirai Vision – a product for monitoring bottle caps, fill levels, and other defects in the production of bottled beverages.

TatVision – a recognition system that searches for free parking spaces inside residential areas using artificial intelligence from video streams from surveillance cameras.

NeuroArtist – a design tool for implementing ideas step-by-step using AI.

Skylon – a multifunctional telematics platform designed for analyzing and managing data received from monitoring objects using M2M technologies.

Within the framework of the 18th Russian Venture Forum, venture games are opening as part of the BRICS universities startup summit. Participants include students from different countries developing their own technological projects.

At the end of the second day of the forum, on April 26, the night RVF will take place at the Bashir Rameev IT Park. This is a special event for investors, who are given special attention at this year's forum.

On April 27, following the conclusion of the Russian Venture Forum, a football match between investors and entrepreneurs will take place at the Trudovye Rezervy stadium. This is the first time such a match is being held in Tatarstan.

The day before the Russian Venture Forum, on April 24, a "day zero" event took place at the SEZ Innopolis. Venture market experts and corporate representatives discussed the results of the first quarter of 2024, the first deals, trends, and forecasts for the development of the venture industry in 2024. Also, as part of the "day zero," the 25th Expert Council for selecting startups for the SEZ Innopolis took place. Experts reviewed 11 projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, financial and educational technologies, digitalization of business processes, virtual reality, e-commerce, cloud technologies, and equipment diagnostics.

The Russian Venture Forum has been held in Kazan since 2005. Over the entire history of the forum, more than 2,400 companies and 700 startups have participated in the business program and exhibition. The event is organized by the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Association for the Promotion of Digital Development, and the Russian Venture Investment Association (RAVI).
